Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Fighting Fathers is a Georgia-focused self-help service for fathers. The information you enter here is personal and often sensitive, and this policy explains exactly what we collect, why we hold it, who can see it and how you can remove it.
Information you give us
We only collect what you choose to enter into the service. Depending on which features you use, that can include:
- Account information: your email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and optionally your name, state and county.
- Rights Check answers and the classification our rules produce from them.
- Case information: case type, case number, county, status and your notes.
- Children's information you record in your Fatherhood File, such as name, date of birth, school, living arrangement, address and health notes.
- Parenting timeline entries, expenses, and payments you record as sent to the other parent.
- Parenting plan and filing draft content you create in the Document Builder.
- Documents you upload, including the file itself and any title, date or description you add.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site we process basic technical data needed to serve and secure it, such as your IP address, browser type and request timestamps, and we record application error reports so we can fix problems. We do not put your case details or document contents into error reports.
Cookies and session technology
We use cookies and browser storage only to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run cross-site advertising trackers. Some in-progress Rights Check answers are stored in your own browser so you do not lose your place; clearing your browser data clears them.
Analytics
We do not run third-party marketing or behavioral analytics on this site. Our hosting provider records standard server and error logs for reliability and security purposes.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number, expiry and security code are entered directly with Stripe and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We store only the record of your purchase: the product, amount, currency, status, purchase date and Stripe's reference for the transaction. Stripe processes your payment data under its own privacy policy.
Service providers we actually use
- Lovable Cloud (powered by Supabase) — database, authentication and encrypted file storage.
- Stripe — payment processing for the paid products.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account, in which case Google shares your email address and basic profile with us.
- Lovable — application hosting and error logging.
We do not sell your information
Fighting Fathers does not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share your case information with the other parent, a court, an attorney or any marketing partner. We disclose information only to the service providers listed above so the app can function, or where we are legally required to do so.
How your records are protected
Your records are stored in a database with row-level security, which means every record is tied to your account and the database itself refuses requests for another person's records. Uploaded documents are held in a private storage bucket that is not served from public or guessable URLs; files are reachable only through short-lived links generated for your signed-in session. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and the records you create for as long as your account is open, so you can come back to your case. If you delete your account, your login and your private records and files are removed immediately. Purchase and transaction records are retained in limited form where we or Stripe must keep them for accounting, tax and fraud-prevention purposes.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete everything yourself. Open Account, type DELETE in the confirmation field and choose Delete my account. Your uploaded files are removed first, then your login and the records linked to it are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone. If you cannot access your account, email us and we will handle the request.
Your rights
You can view and correct the information in your account at any time from within the app, export or print the drafts and records you create, and delete your account and data. If you would like a copy of the information we hold or have a privacy concern, email us using the address below.
Children's privacy
This service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. Parents do enter information about their own children as part of building a case record; that information belongs to the parent's account and is protected in the same way as the rest of their records. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the Last updated date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
